The apartment
The ground floor of a villa on Lovas Street, with its own garden.
The house stands at the foot of the Buda Castle wall, next to the Vienna Gate. This is the quiet side of the Castle District: birdsong in the morning, silence at night. Yet Széll Kálmán tér — and half the city with it — is only an eight-minute walk away.
The apartment is 40 square metres on the ground floor: a spacious living and sleeping area with a king-size bed, a well-equipped kitchenette and a bathroom with a shower. The terrace door opens straight onto a private, furnished garden area for guests only. It is made for two, and fits three or four with extra beds.

How much does a night cost?
The price is for the whole apartment, not per person: €70–95 per night for two guests, depending on the season. An extra bed is €30 per adult per night. The calendar shows the exact price for your dates, including the total.
When can I check in, and what if I arrive late?
Check-in is self-service with a key safe, between 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM; you’ll receive the code by e-mail before arrival. If you’re arriving later, please let us know in advance. Emese lives in the same building, so if anything comes up she’s there within a minute. Check-out is by 10:00 AM.
Is there really free parking in the Castle District?
Yes — one parking space in the villa’s gated courtyard, free of charge. That’s rare in the Castle District, so please mention when booking that you’re arriving by car.
How do I book?
Choose your dates on the calendar and send the booking request; Emese usually replies within an hour. The booking is final once you receive her confirmation e-mail. We don’t ask for a deposit, so cancellation is free until confirmation.
Why is it cheaper here than on booking platforms?
Because there’s no middleman commission or service fee. Same apartment, same calendar — just without the platforms’ 15–18% markup.
How many people can stay?
Two guests as standard, with a king-size bed. With one extra bed it sleeps three, with two extra beds four, at €30 per adult per night. Please request extra beds when booking.
How do I get there from the airport?
Take bus 100E from the airport to Deák Ferenc tér, then metro M2 to Széll Kálmán tér, and walk 8 minutes via Várfok utca. Buses 16 and 116 stop at Bécsi kapu tér, two minutes from the house.
Do you accept SZÉP cards?
Yes, we accept OTP, MBH and K&H SZÉP cards (Hungarian holiday vouchers), as well as cash and bank transfer. Payment is on arrival.
What languages does the host speak?
Hungarian, English and German. Emese has been hosting since 2017 and usually replies within an hour.
